A Commuter's Dream Breakfast | Quaker Breakfast Shakes #QuakerShakes #sp
This post was created in partnership with Quaker. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Hi lovelies! I must admit, this review is one of my favorites because it is a life-changer for me. Mornings are my own personal hell. Waking up the kiddos, getting them fed/dressed/ready for school all while attempting to do the same for myself should seriously be an Olympic sport. Oh and I have an hour and a half (each way) commute to work. I try to be proactive and pack lunches the night before and keep them in the fridge, pick out our clothes the night before, as well as shower/tubs. But the truth be told, we are not morning people. I think the three of us would sleep in until 10 every morning if we could. So when I was approached to review Quaker Breakfast Shakes, I giddily agreed.

They are available in three flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry and are available at Walmart! Each bottle contains 8g of whole grain oats, 10g of protein and 6g of fiber. The bottle is only 200 calories too! I was sent a strawberry and chocolate shake to review, and they are delicious! You'd think you were drinking a shake, like the kind that aren't so good for you. My daughter loved these too; I had to share them both with her and we have bought more too.
Now the life-changing part. I'd normally skip breakfast, just because my morning schedule/routine really doesn't allow for it. I'd drink gallons of coffee at home and on the way to work, but wouldn't eat anything. Now I grab one of these out of the fridge when I grab my lunch, toss it in my bag and head out the door. During my lovely, gridlock commute I sip on a shake and by the time I get to the office I am full. Like, not hungry at all. I make it to lunch without snacking. I find I have so much more energy, my overall mood is markedly improved, and I'm friggen getting some nutrition in the morning. Done and done.
Now for you, my lovely readers. Quaker is generously offering $2 off coupons!
Oh, but wait, there's more! Quaker and Walmart are also giving one lucky SnS reader a $25 Walmart gift card! Buy loads of shakes, or whatever else you need! Entering is easy, use the rafflecopter below. The only required entries are to either a) leave a blog comment and let me know how you handle busy mornings on the go or b) print out the $2 off coupon.

SnS Loves Getting Groceries Delivered With #WalmartToGo #sp
Hi lovelies! Today I'm talking to you about a new service from Walmart. It's just recently launched here in the Denver area and soon will be spreading (if it already hasn't!) It's called Walmart To Go and it's the most life-changing service ever. As a single mom of two (older-ish) kiddos that also works full time, grocery shopping is such a dreaded chore. Even the kids hate it. I always find that no matter what's on my shopping list, I walk out spending at least $50 on items that weren't on it. It's so hard to stick to a budget and not buy all the junk food in sight sometimes.
Enter Walmart To Go . You go online, quickly register and pick a delivery date. I go through my kitchen and put together a list of what I'll need for the week, search for the items online, and can either pick up my groceries at the store the next day (all picked, bagged, and brought out to my car) for no additional charge, or have them delivered for only $5-7. The website makes navigation super easy, and I can ensure I won't be overspending and buying junk I don't need. It's the easiest way to stick to my budget and I don't have to deal with all the hassles of going to the grocery store.
The delivery truck is certainly not what I expected; it has separate climate controlled sections for the different groceries.
The delivery man pulls the bins containing my groceries from the different compartments.
And brings them to my door! No tipping allowed, either!
I tried to order a range of products to see in what condition they'd arrive. I spent about $65 and I picked fresh meats, produce, and ice cream, as well as some pantry items. I tried to hide the lemon Oreos, but you can clearly see them. Don't judge; they are incredible.
All the produce arrived in peak freshness and was still cold!
The ice cream still had frost on it and was frozen solid.
The meats were super fresh, and that night I dined on filet mignon, asparagus and potatoes. And it was friggen delicious!
So, I'm completely in love with this new delivery service from Walmart, and I will absolutely be using it a lot going forward, too. But it's not just groceries, you can order anything from the store, too!
The amount of time this saves me is priceless. It takes about 10-15 minutes for me to order online, compared to a good hour of complaining and whining and overspending (and losing my sanity!) I endure while hauling the kiddos to the store.
If you're in the Denver area, I encourage you to try it out as soon as possible. It could change your life like its changed mine!

DIY ~ Tropical Doormat
Hi lovelies! While I've been super sick with a sinus infection from hell, I've *finally* got a new DIY for you! I've been wanting something cute and quirky yet unique to put outside my front door. I came across the perfect mat at Ikea for only $10 and put a fun twist on it with some paint and a stencil. I couldn't be happier with how it came out! {How-to after the jump!}
