12 DIYs of Christmas ~ Day 6 ~ DIY Coffee Sleeve

Hi lovelies!  Today's DIY is another easy one, and it is so fun to make, I want to keep making more!  What gal can't live without her coffee?  Why not make an easy, reusable coffee sleeve for all your friends so they can do away with the cardboard ones!  {Click for the how-to!}

You'll need:
  • Felt
  • Trim (I bought a spool of this by the ribbons & trimmings at Joann's)
  • Fabric glue
  • Cardboard coffee sleeve to use as a template
  • Sharpie
  • Optional - clips or clamps to hold things in place until the glue dries
How-to:
  • Open your cardboard sleeve and trace it onto your felt
  • Cut out the shape you just drew
  • Measure trim to fit the top and bottom of the sleeve, singe the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying
  • Apply a generous layer of glue to the bottom and top of the felt shape
  • Firmly press the trim in place
  • Apply a generous about of glue to the tab at the end of the felt piece
  • Fold it under the other end, firmly pressing in place.  Use clips to hold everything together until the glue dries thoroughly
  • Enjoy your new coffee sleeve!

While I chose darker neutrals, you could liven these up with brighter colors, or even using some fun flannel fabric!
