Hi lovelies! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend; the bf, his daughter, and I headed south for an impromptu weekend away in Manitou Springs, where we hiked in Garden of the Gods. It's such a gorgeous place, everyone should try and see it!
Today's DIY is inspired by the adorable customized sunglasses cases I see everywhere for an ungodly amount of money. I made mine for only $1! {Click for the how-to!}
You'll need:
- A plain sunglasses case (this I found at the dollar store!) {you could also make one using leftover fabric, in which case you'd spend nothing!}
- A picture sized the same as your case of some sunglasses (find and print one online, or draw your own! I of course chose a cute pair of cat-eyes!)
- Scissors or a craft knife
- Paint pen, paint, sharpies, whatever you'd rather!
- Not pictured: pins
Cut out your image and pin the stencil to the case.
Color in the stencil for the frame using your desired medium. I used a paint pen, and did two coats with the stencil, removed the stencil, and did a third.
You can leave them with just the frame, but I decided to color in the lenses with a silver sharpie!
Voila! So easy, and a cute, fun way to personalize a plain case. You could add initials to the other side and it would make a lovely gift. Get creative and use different shapes of sunglasses, different colors, etc. Have fun and make it your own!
