Happy Friday, lovelies! It's the last day of my Mother's Day DIY series, and I hope you've gotten some good ideas on things to make for mom that won't break the bank. Please do let me know if you make anything, I'd love to see your take on it! Without further ado, I wanted to make a fun pair of summery yet chic earring for your mom, or for someone you know who's a mom! These are so easy to make, you'll want to make some for yourself too :) {Click to keep reading!}
You'll need:
- Waxed cotton cord
- Hoop earrings
- Two pieces of chain that measure half the circumference of the earring
- Clear nail polish
Knot the cord onto the chain and trim the excess. Seal the knot with clear nail polish.
Wrap the thread around the hoop and through each chain link. Try to keep the chain in place by holding where it's already been attached while you're working your way around.
Repeat with the knot when you reach the end of the chain. Again, secure it with some clear nail polish.
Repeat for a second earring, and you're done! You could do this with mixed metals, different colored cord, or even use some thread instead so it's thinner! The customization possibilities are endless.
So there you have it! If you haven't caught all of the posts of the series, make sure to check out all of the other Mother's Day DIY posts! Best of all, enjoy the time with your mom, and Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there!
