Materials:
- Knit wrap belt
- Nailheads
- Pliers
Vintage studs! Love!
Take the nailhead and push it through the desired spot on the belt.
You will have the five pointy ends on the reverse side.
Use your pliers to fold in the pointy ends.
This is what the reverse side will look like when you fold over the ends.I chose to leave about 6 inches or so on each end before I started studding. Here's what it looks like after one.
I spread them out by about 2-3 inches or so. Here's three....
And the finished product!
Now, cinch anything with it, here I'm modeling an oversized t-shirt I've been bumming around in.
So versatile...you can tie it behind your neck and it's a funky necklace! (JT says it could be a scarf too.)
Or wrap it around your wrist and tie it and it's a statement cuff bracelet.
I love repurposing something into something bigger and better! I hope this inspires you to think the same. Try this out, and send pics if you do!

Cool DIY! I would have never thought to do something like this! Love how versatile this is! I think I like it as a belt the most, but it looks cute every way!
ReplyDeleteOooh looks like fun and easy!!! I actually made something similar to this (minus the fabulous studs) but for my wrist.
